Buena Vista Social Club y la legendaria Omara Portuondo en compañía del cubano Eliades Ochoa hicieron vibrar a sus seguidores a ritmo de son, guajira, chachachá, salsa y bolero en el marco del Festival de los Veranos de la Villa de Madrid, en el Teatro Circo Price el sábado, 28 de julio.
Jesús "Aguaje" Ramos, director, trombón y voz, de esta legendaria orquesta cubana presentó al guitarrista y cantante Eliades Ochoa, quien abrió la cita musical con uno de los temas más emblemáticos de estas leyendas de la música cubana "El carretero”.
De su propia inspiración, con su tradicional sombrero, el cantante, de 66 años de edad, siguió con "Estoy como nunca" tema grabado el año 2002 el cual se sumerge en los ritmos tradicionales cubanos donde se incorporan ritmos nuevas.
Luego, la banda sola, acompañada de diversos instrumentos como piano, congas, bongó, timbal, laud, trompeta, desgranó rítmicas piezas de la historia musical de Cuba como "Chan Chan”, "Bemba Colorá”, "De camino a la vereda", "Santa Lucía" y "Cemento, ladrillo y arena".
Seguidamente Omara Portuondo, vestida de blanco y con su pañuelo en la cabeza, demostró que a sus 81 años de edad, todavía sigue siendo la dama del feeling; interpretando "Tres palabras" de Osvaldo Farres tras éste, "Las mulatas en cha cha cha", y "No me llores más” haciendo vibrar a todo el público presente.
